I noticed some of those too, but it is good to see the list again.
Had forgotten about most.
Since they will be looking at both fasting glucose and insulin levels, perhaps they do have a proxy for insulin resistance?
One of the most common ways of detecting insulin resistance is by using the homeostatic model assessment (HOMA). It involves measuring glucose and insulin levels and then using a calculation to estimate function of the beta cells in the pancreas that produce insulin and insulin sensitivity.Dec 19, 2014
Can't imagine they would fail to look at that, though if the results are not exciting, they may or may not report it. Seems to me that they also commented at one point that a fair proportion of the study group was likely to be "old" and that they might be able to glean some dementia data along the way. Did I imagine that? Guess it's a matter of what looks most promising and what they have resources for. Interesting questions are probably endless.
