Copper Fox never mentioned anything publicly but it's a plausible theory. Our 2008 preliminary feasibility study had pit slopes up to 1200m high. Here's what our neighbors Seabridge Gold says about their 1200m high slopes:
"This scale of the Mitchell pit north and south slope heights is greater than any previously achieved in the industry; a small number of currently operating mines have slopes approaching 1,000m high."
"The heights of the north and south slopes, when existing topography is included in the height estimates, are beyond the current experience of the open pit mining industry."
I'm not worried because Copper Fox has confirmed that there are no issues. Let's just remember to keep this board friendly enough that we can discuss both the good and bad of Copper Fox.
