Crystallex International Corporation is a Canadian-based gold company with a successful record of developing and operating gold mines in Venezuela and elsewhere in South America
VN mentioned that they wanted t make the 2 mines into 1.
Now if i remember correctly(not sure) dosen't grz have data to help with that transition?
Yes... In the period after Placer Dome left LC and KRY was awarded their MOC the government asked for proposals for a joint mine. GRZ prepared a detailed plan using their own data for LB and PD's data for LC which was made available to them.
They even had a fairly detailed schematic of the plan up on their web site at the time and they were confident that the government favoured it as they were told (the old story) that all branches of governement liked the combined proposal. However without ever going to tender suddenly KRY was awarded the MOC and LC and LB became standalone projects again.
GRZ management was pretty pissed about it at the time as they had invested a fair bit of time and money on the plan and they didn't even get a hearing. All that data and the plan are still with GRZ and out of Venezuela. I got the impression that in the last 6 months before the SHTF for GRZ and they filed for arbitration they were very busy securing all the data and getting everything they owned out of the country including key local personnel.
I can only hope that KRY got their data out of the country in time, because otherwise it won't be long before the government has it all......
