Where and how the carriers can utilize this is the $64k question.

IMO the differentiated ness is are there less than 500 different kind of phone types that need to be differentiated all at once, lol

Point being; maybe less than 100 types but lay avot atop a carriers many/many servers and you exponentiate the delivery capasity.
