Yes, I agree that this discussion has been refreshingly constructive. And Milestone's brilliant knack for quickly acquiring and posting relevant DD is impressive. Kudos to emit, too, for sparking this latest Avot discussion.
As a point of reference, the field in which I am employed deals with high-tech video and audio, both analog and digital. I primarily work with national and international architects and engineers from conceptual design through construction when developing and building facilities, ensuring that building technology systems are appropriately accounted for and integrated into the fabric of these buildings, from infrastructure through the end user experience. I design audio and video technology solutions that serve each client's unique needs. This requires me to intimately understand thousands of hardware products, technology standards, and their applications. I am by NO means the foremost expert here, but I know what I need to know in order to provide my services on a professional level. It is from this perspective that I have taken great interest in PTSC's new direction, especially the involvement with both Avot and Crossflo. It has regenerated excitement in my investment toward the future of PTSC.
I agree with what Milestone appears to be supporting with his posts, that being the area most likely to generate revenue for the Avot technology offerings: dynamic and interactive services that provide benefit to mobile users in their daily lives. Everyone's DD contributions have shed light on the various pieces that, when combined, begin to illuminate an even larger picture, one that IMO is quite promising. The ubiquitousness of the video-enabled mobile phone, the insatiable appetite of the consumer for immediate information, and the earnest pursuit by technology companies and service providers to bridge the two. The available DD supports not only that this has been in motion for years, but more importantly, it is growing rapidly as we move forward.
The Crossflo element, as you mention, may have application regarding merging it with the Avot experience in the healthcare disparate-data-sharing arena, but I have not yet fully thought through the possibilities as to how that would occur. Perhaps I'll ponder that and post some thoughts at a later time.
Thank you, everyone, for the great information.
