Chips and this technology are not my baliwick, but I'd like to expand Fairchij's thought.

I can see how every lab tech and scientist at every fab recipient/user of the PDK will go crazy trying to manipulate the technology to do "different-things-in-different-ways" ....the heart and soul of creativity, innovation and all the advancements we are afforded.

And, because the tinkerers of the world will not allow Poet's base technology to stand still, it would not surprise me at all if they develop better/faster/easier (etc..) variations on the technology.

I'm sure the gods at Poet have thought of this and have mechanisms in place to capture/own the resulting IP.
