Minister, IMO, you are spot on.

The way I understood the deal, it was an exclusive.

Exclusive to me represented the validity of the tech.

Tech is getting stale in a fast way.....i.e. the recent message of Sandisk and the SD Association considering 1 TeraByte on an SD card.

Consider what that one message means and all the past tech storage that will go to the way side if such an event happens. hello 9 pin serial interface, goodbye 25 pin parallel cable.

Sandisk is basically saying, we're going to own the storage business of the world....and we're going to control the bios.

"That could happen within five years, according to the SD Association, a trade group that brings together more than 1,100 technology companies from SanDisk Corp to Hewlett-Packard Co and sets interoperable memory card standards."

The SD Assocation is Sandisk

I'm not worried about past DM tech relationships.....most all dealing with this parallel to serial translation/transition is somewhat new.

Actually seeing them achieve that density on such a small foot print is yet to be scene.

e.Digital supports a serial process without the normally associated overhead. They do not have to translate one environment into the other in the same manner Sandisk and their SD Association do.
