The reason why the property had gone so long has to do with politics. I think this is a pretty significant point regarding the timeline of the property and how the stars are aligning now, and not in the past.
It certainly adds to the fact that the previous owners weren't interested in bulk sampling, which is what Tinsley suggested needed to be done.
Tinsley explained that previous documents said that GNH's claims were on sedimentary rock, which is obviously not the case.
I don't remember what the exact reasons were for this, but the just of what Tinsley was trying to get across was that the surveyor needed to say the claims were sedimentary for the sake of politics.
Maybe we can get a more detailed answer from the insiders.
