Perhaps there is some confusion regarding the words "settlement" and "licensing" being two separate events. According to my conversations with RP THEY MEAN THE SAME THING.

If an infringer settles for a "whatever" one time payment THAT CONSTITUTES THEIR LICENSE TO CONTINUE USING EDIG'S IP.

After payment has been received by EDig/DM then the infringing company has PAID ITS LICENSING/ROYATY FEE.

I have no idea what the details would be. Could the infringer then pass on EDig's IP to another customer or would EDig's IP be confined to products used exclusively by the infringer who has paid for it???

Persoally, my opinion, for what its worth, the company would be confined to using EDig's IP in its own products and not be able to pass on that tech.....Perhaps some legal/begal who has been involved with this type of thing could elucidate the board on this question.
