EDIG has stated that future infringers may be able to derive information from details of one case that they could use in their defense against EDIG.
Of course they can. Every legal filing requires the sides to state their facts. There are depositions and they are in the public domain. Very little of each case is sealed by the court and excluded from the public domain. So after one or two filings, it is easy to realize the plays of the upcoming football game.
Having said that, I understand why they don't want to release the amounts of each settlement. But it does not make any sense that they have not continued to file anymore suits or even imply that they are in discussions with other companies.
Now that DM has now expanded their legal team to offer lots of other companies the same deal more less that edig got. Did they cut down on their staff that they assigned to our case/s? What is the company going to do, if the incoming revenue is based on just settlements if they are far and few between? The company can survive but the pps will not increase anytime in the near future if at all without a viable product line.
